I started out by identifying the overall style I liked. To do this, I browsed lots of bridal magazines and the Internet to find a look that I felt would bring out the best of me.

Once I had an overall idea, the next step was to find the centerpiece — the wedding dress. It was really the item that needed to be finalized first. I then tried different hair and makeup styles in order to find those that would suit me and go well with the dress.

Also, with both the wedding day and the DIY photo trip in mind, I tried to make choices on the dress, makeup, and hairstyle that would be applicable to both events. At the end, I was my own stylist for my wedding day and the trip.
